Thank you so much for coming to Curriculum Night last night! It was wonderful to see so many of you and the children LOVED getting their messages in their journals this morning.

Talking Points Friday (9/15)

This week we:

* Earned Fun Friday and had popsicles and an extra recess.
* Danced to Gonoodle.com.
* Used Model Magic.
* Played with Littlest Pet Shop toys at recess.
* Played tag in PE.
* Wrote poems about insects.
* Did read to self.
* Learned about Insects.
* Had fun with Pattern Blocks and Geoboards in Math.

Supplies 2017-2018

August 2017
Dear Families,
         The following list of items would be most useful for this school year. If possible, please bring these items to “Meet Your Teacher” so that your child does not have to carry them on their first day of school.

For Classroom Community Use:
      1 plastic pencil box (large enough to fit crayons and pencils)
      Crayola Crayons
      Regular or Skinny Washable Markers
      1  box of tissues
      1 pocket folder with any picture/design on the front                  (for your child to use during independent work time)
       1 or 2 extra socks that will not be returned                                         (to be used as whiteboard erasers)
      a 1 ½-inch, 3 ring binder with a clear plastic cover insert
(this will be used for your child’s 1st grade portfolio)

For your child’s personal use, please send in a change of clothes in a plastic bag. Please LABEL your child’s clothing! These will be returned at the end of the school year.

Other helpful items for our classroom include:
       AA batteries (used for flashlights during science and reading time)
      Colorful Pens
      Gallon sized ZipLoc bags
      Skinny Black Whiteboard Markers
      White Envelopes (large or small)
